geometric shapes stacked into each other to create a level of depth and illusion and negative space

ask politely, when you want to switch seats.

the series continues the exploration of shifting between two and three dimensional space through the construction of negative forms. built as physical sculptures, the shapes originate from empty spaces that only begin to exist once stacked behind one another. through photography, these negative spaces slowly transform back into positive forms, creating structures that appear simultaneously flat and sculptural. the photographs move between illusion and object, questioning where a form begins and whether absence itself can become a physical structure.
