cut-outs of architecture and stacked together from new perspectives. a geometric interpretation of matisse

ffm

“ffm” marks one of the first series exploring the themes of deconstructing and reconstructing a photograph. starting with a simple architectural image, the initial ideas were rooted in the transformation from three-dimensional architecture into a two-dimensional photograph, back into three-dimensional sculptures, and finally once again into a two-dimensional image. through this process, questions surrounding perspective, repetition, and distortion are explored, while the line between object and image becomes increasingly blurred.
